A Soul Winner's Prayer

Winning souls; is our calling,

Our primary fruit to bear.

Unless we have no heart at all,

Or maybe we just don’t care?

So let us all consider,

Do the gospel, we freely share?

With friends & with our families,

With people everywhere.

Do we watch with eyes wide open?

Do we keep an open ear,

To share the hope of Jesus,

So the good news they might hear.

Is your light shining brightly,

Is your banner crystal clear?

Will you make a stand for Jesus,

Will you spread the Gospel cheer?

To tell of God’s great mercy,

Of a love beyond compare.

How the Father gave His only Son,

His life, He didn’t spare.

The gift He gave at Calvary,

On a Cross, to taunts and jeers.

He poured His life out freely,

At the end of a Roman spear.

He died to take our sentence,

Our every sin to bear.

Washed by the blood of Jesus,

To free us from Satan’s snare.

His promise life eternal,

To those whose lives we steer.

Toward the Lord of Glory,

Who purchased us with tears.

And when you get to heaven,

Will you have friends, over there?

Who are only there because of you!

For the Gospel you declared.

So heed the great commission,

And plant His Word with care.

To be a great soul winner,

Should be; our solemn prayer.

Judgement Day

If this powerful and sobering message does not move us; If it does not give us a great and immediate sense of urgency, and a hunger to lead and see souls won to Christ; then absolutely nothing else will.

How long will we; a huge percentage of Christians; sit back in our comfortable lives and watch the world go to hell without apparent care?

Do we have a concept of the terror of hell?

Do we have any concept of eternity or a lost eternity?

Do we even care?

Did you know that on average, between 250,000 and 300,000 people die and enter eternity EVERY DAY; EVERY DAY; EVERY DAY…

That’s between 1.75 million and 2.1 million people passing into eternity every week.

I don’t know the percentage of people dying every day who go on to inherit the Kingdom of God and receive the gift of eternal life, but I seriously doubt the number would be as high as 10% across global humanity.

Furthermore; if we don’t care, but instead we calmly sit back and do nothing to reach the lost for Christ, how will we escape judgment for so great a neglect?

We have been given a great commission, to reach the world for Christ. That starts in our homes, our streets and neighborhoods, at work, as we go about our daily lives and seek out opportunities to share the love of Christ, and His offer of grace and mercy to a lost world.

For some who are called, it may mean going to another city, or possibly to another country to reach the lost; maybe to the mission fields of the world. For others, it will be by financing God’s work and channeling funds into these endeavors, as we are blessed by God in our jobs and/or our businesses. There are many ways to reach out to the world, and the first and most important way is; to live so close to Christ that our very lives attract people to God because they see something in us they long for in their own life.

A great way for many of us to impact the world for Christ in this modern age is through the power of the internet; But regardless of how we are called to reach the world and lose humanity, this is our primary calling as Christians.

My challenge today to all who read this message, and to all who watch The Great White Throne Judgement, is to diligently seek God and ask him to reveal to YOU, what His plan and purpose is for your life, and how you can best serve and impact your corner of the world for Christ.

As Christians, we are expected and commanded to bear fruit.  That can mean many things, but the most important fruit of all is to lead others to Christ so that their lives will glorify God, and to see them saved from a lost eternity.  If we don’t bear fruit, if we don’t care for the lost and the dying, we are at risk of being cut from the vine as unfruitful branches to be burned. That comes straight from the mouth of Jesus: (See John 15:1-8)

John 15:1-8 (New King James Version)

The True Vine

1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;[a] and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will[b] ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

I will put my hand up, stand up, and be counted.

If you haven’t already done so; will YOU also accept this challenge of “The Great Commission” with me?
